Anne Lass is a Danish/German artist who studied documentary photography at Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany.
In her photographic works, she investigates different aspects of human living space in the beginning of our 21st century. Especially in the urban cityscapes, she finds conflict areas that influence her images: conflicts of functionalism and individual development, the association with nature, the concourse of construction and vastness and, last but not least, to human interaction.

Her extensive travels have taken her to the United States, and Australia, among many other countries. Since 2004, her photographs have been shown regularly in solo and group exhibitions in Europe, Australia and the US. Her photographs have been awarded the Profifoto Förderpreis (2008), the Epson Art Photo Award (2005 and 2006) and the C/O Berlin Talents Award (2009).
She currently lives and works on the Danish island of Bornholm.
